Ambassador of the Year Award
The Ambassador of the Year Award honors an individual outside of the AMC community who champions the AMC model and elevates AMCI’s mission. This award recognizes a partner, consultant, influencer, or service provider who plays a pivotal role in advancing awareness, understanding, and adoption of the AMC model through strategic collaboration, thought leadership, and visible support of AMCI and its members.
Eligibility
- Nominees must be individuals representing a non-AMC organization (e.g., industry partner, consultant, influencer, or service provider).
- Must be affiliated with an AMCI partner member organization in good standing for at least the past two years.
- Must have participated in at least three AMCI meetings or events in the past two years.
- Must serve on at least one AMCI committee or task force.
- A minimum of two testimonials or endorsements from an AMCI member firm is required.
Nominations
Nominations should include:
- At least three examples of how the nominee has promoted the AMC model through external marketing, communications, or industry visibility.
- Evidence of industry influence and education, such as speaking engagements, authored content, or participation in association events.
- Testimonials or endorsements from AMCI member firms, or the AMC community, validating the nominees’ impact.
- Supporting details related to AMCI participation and collaboration.
Selection Criteria
Nominees will be evaluated based on:
- Promotion of the AMC Model: Demonstrated ability to showcase the value of the AMC model through marketing, communications, or brand integration.
- Industry Influence & Education: Active role in educating associations and the broader industry about the AMC model’s benefits and structures.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partnership with AMCI to co-create content, enhance services, or develop tools that support member success.
- Trusted Advisor Role: Serving as a connector and advisor by referring clients to AMCs, sharing success stories, and guiding others in navigating the AMC landscape.
- Data-Driven Impact: Evidence of referrals or collaborations that have contributed to AMC business growth, supported by insights that expand market reach.
- AMCI Engagement: Active participation in AMCI initiatives, events, or committees, contributing to the association’s strategic goals.
Award Frequency
- The Ambassador of the Year Award is presented in even-numbered years in conjunction with the AMCs Engaged meeting.
- Final selection is determined by the AMC Institute Awards Committee and approved by the AMC Institute Board of Directors.
- The award will not be presented if:
- No nominations are submitted, or
- Submitted nominations do not meet the established criteria, at the sole discretion of the Nominating Committee.
