Association Headquarters Establishes DEI Advisory Council

Mount Laurel, NJ - Association Headquarters, Inc. (AH), a leading association management company located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and Alexandria, Virginia, is proud to announce that it has made great strides on its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. 

AH has formed a DEI Advisory Council consisting of AH staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and positions within the company. The Council will create AH’s internal and external DEI voice that will not only bring AH staff together in support of these initiatives but also advance AH’s core value of Unified Diversity for the company and industry at large.

“I am looking forward to working with this great group of AH staff, who were all selected to serve on the Council because of their personal commitment to these efforts,” Amy Williams said. “We hope the Council can be a driver in fostering organizational change because of its dedicated focus on achieving our diversity and inclusion goals.”

The DEI Advisory Council has hired The Almond Group, a leadership development firm with an emphasis on DEI to help the Council and AH’s top leadership in DEI training, strategy and coaching. They will also provide training for AH managers and staff. This training is aimed to help AH continue its journey for an equitable workplace.

AH has also updated its Mission statement and corporate core values to include Unified Diversity, the definition of which states: “We respect and seek out the inclusion of differences, which fuels our innovation and builds a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees, client partners and communities we serve.”

Bob Waller Jr., CAE, president and CEO of AH has signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion to pledge his commitment to DEI. It is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to drive measurable action and meaningful change in advancing DEI in the workplace.
