After a multi-year hiatus, the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station in Indianapolis, IN, proudly hosted the 2025 AMC Institute Regional Meeting, marking a vibrant return to in-person regional engagement. This year’s event laid the groundwork for future AMCI regional meetings—setting a new standard for excellence in content, collaboration, and community.

The meeting was shaped by a dedicated task force of AMC and Industry Partner professionals:

Janelle Benefield, Personify
Jess Campbell, AMR Management Services
Linda Caradine-Poinsett, PhD, MJ, MBA, Association Management Services
Grant Carpenter, CAE, Raybourn Group International
Jodi Fisher, CAE, CMP, Impact Association Management
Leslie Murphy, FASAE, CAE, Raybourn Group International
Robert Riggs, CAE, Synergos AMC
Karyn Nishimura Sneath, FASAE, Synergos AMC
Jennifer Sommer, CMP, IHG Resorts and Hotel
Lane Velayo, CAE, Synergos AMC

Kate Temple, SPHR, Bostrom

These individuals brought together their expertise and passion to create a meaningful experience for attendees. Their focus was on delivering high-impact education tailored to team leaders, account executives, and emerging professionals within the AMC space.

More than 60 attendees from 22 AMCs participated, with some traveling from as far as Phoenix, AZ. The event also welcomed many first-time attendees, adding fresh energy and perspectives to the AMCI community.

Thanks to our gracious hosts—the newly remodeled Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station and AMCI Strategic Partner, IHG—guests enjoyed warm hospitality in a stunning venue. Educational sessions covered topics such as embracing your authentic self, enhancing communication skills, managing scope creep, and developing strategic leadership capabilities.
