Outstanding AMC Culture Award

The Outstanding AMC Culture Award recognizes an AMCI member organization that demonstrates an exceptional commitment to cultivating a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture. This award highlights organizations that prioritize talent development, foster community both internally and externally, and create an environment where staff thrive and contribute meaningfully to the AMC profession.

Eligibility

Nominee must be an AMCI member organization in good standing. 

  • Staff testimonials must be provided by:
    • One employee with less than 2 years of experience.
    • One employee with more than 3 years of experience.
  • Testimonials must come from staff members who do not hold 10% or greater ownership in the AMC.

Nominations

  •  Nominations should include a narrative describing the AMC’s talent experience, supported by collateral such as job descriptions, onboarding or welcome packets, and examples of internal programs.
  • Submissions may also showcase:
    • Community outreach initiatives.
    • Internal community-building efforts (e.g., DE&I programs, onboarding, engagement activities).
    • Media coverage or recognition of organizational programs.
  • Accreditation and evidence of AMCI participation should be included to demonstrate commitment to professional standards and industry engagement.

Selection Criteria

Nominees will be evaluated based on:

  • Talent Experience: Clear evidence of programs and practices that support staff growth, onboarding, and engagement.
  • Community Building: Demonstrated initiatives that foster inclusivity, collaboration, and a strong internal culture.
  • Outreach & Recognition: Examples of external community involvement and/or recognition of organizational excellence.
  • Testimonials: Authentic staff perspectives that reflect the organization’s culture and impact.
  • Professional Standards: Accreditation and active participation in AMCI programs and initiatives.

Award Frequency

The Outstanding AMC Culture Award is presented in even-numbered years in conjunction with the AMCs Engaged meeting.

  • Final selection is determined by the AMC Institute Awards Committee and approved by the AMC Institute Board of Directors.
  • The award will not be presented if:
        • No nominations are submitted, or
        • Submitted nominations do not meet the established criteria, at the sole discretion of the Nominating Committee.
