Elizabeth Schlicht, CAE, Receives WSAE Young Professional Award

Menomonee Falls, WI – Elizabeth Schlicht, CAE, Executive Director at Association Acumen, has received the Young Professional Award from the Wisconsin Society of Association Executives (WSAE). The award honors a young professional who’s making a difference through contributions to WSAE and the association community. The award was presented virtually at the Annual Business Meeting and Awards Presentation on October 27.

“I am honored to receive the WSAE 2020 Young Professional Award,” said Schlicht. “I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with exceptional associations, teams, and leaders that I have learned from and continue to learn from daily. I’ve been blessed to work with some truly outstanding individuals that have provided me with both formal and informal mentorship and inspired me towards my goals to continually grow and stretch in my career. We do not achieve nor succeed in isolation, and I’m very thankful for the team members and company culture that have both supported and encouraged me.”

Schlicht is currently Executive Director of the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) and the Society for Mucosal Immunology (SMI). She was previously Executive Director of the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA). She is also Chair of the WSAE Membership Development Committee and has been appointed Young Professional Director for the WSAE Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 year.

Schlicht is adept at creating and executing strategic membership and marketing plans, securing and growing sponsorship revenues, implementing and overseeing communications and content management initiatives, managing year-round educational offerings such as webinars and annual meeting programming, as well as the creation and maintenance of member databases and prospect lists. She brings a background in non-profit management, donor relations and IT systems support to her role. She achieved her CAE credential in 2017 and has been with Association Acumen since 2013.
